In Room 20 we had a writing task to make a pick a path story and I paired with Henry and we made one about a granny that died and you find out who killed her!We followed a plan that was very complicated and I hope you like it!

Identifying main ideas:The main theme of groosham grange is that it is a school full of monsters on an island that is far from anywhere else.The author showed this by putting in scary characters and bad puns like “The Heads” and that is the headmaster’s names because they are two-headed.

Making connections:I have a connection with Vincent Because on page 18 david cheated and that made Vincent lose and that was what happened at my first cross country ever.

Summarising:The main idea of groosham grange is that there is a new student who is trying to destroy groosham grange but is being stopped by David and then they all become friends

Cross Country

This week we had cross country and we had been training for a long time.We had trained 3 days every week and it was hard work.At the start of my race (YR 7 Boys) I had a bad stitch and I kept on running.I am very lucky that my mum was there to support me and she is the one that kept me going.Once I made it to the last stretch I started to slow down and I was in so much pain, but I saw my mum and she was cheering her hardest and I started sprinting.After the race I had no breath left-I came 45th-I went over to my mum and gave her a giant hug.That was cross country.

Learning Mandarin

Today in the middle block of class time Tracy (The Mandarin Teacher) Taught us how to say some greetings. For example:

ni hao (Hello)

 zaoshang hao (Good Morning).

ni jiao shen me (What is your name), 

wo shi xin xi lan ren (I am a New Zealander) ,

 Mǐ kǎ (Mika).

She taught us about china and how big it is. China looks like a rooster.

I look forward to learning more Mandarin and maybe we will do another game.

Picasso Art

Pablo Picasso was a spanish painter, sculptor, printmaker and many other things.He was born 25th of october 1881 in Malaga, spain and he passed away 8th of april 1973 in Mougins, France.

This is my Picasso art that my class has been working on this week.Pablo Picasso's art style has random looking characters and he likes to put very thick and bold lines.We all got a3 pieces of paper and made our designs, along with coloring them in.We also made our facial features and colored them in.After all that work we have a master piece!

Roblox

Roblox is a website on computer with a whole collection of block games that players create.The idea of the game is that players are robots doing minigames, fighting and for the players to use their imagination to create the games people play.

How many people use roblox

Over 178 million people have an account however only nine million people play monthly.

In a Roblox game the maximum amount of players you can have is endless but there isn’t much chance of people joining whereas if you have the average amount of players (8-30).

The Creator

David Baszucki and Erik Cassel are the creators of Roblox.

David was born on January 20, 1963 also he is 53 Yrs old.Erik cassel passed away whilst fighting cancer for 3 years, he passed away 2013.David had also founded a company called Knowledge Revolution and he helped create a physics simulator called Interactive Physics which sold millions and was the inspiration of Roblox.

The Characters

The characters in Roblox are Robots and the players interact with other players and show their gender and what they would like to look like.The main Idea David Baszucki thought of was Robots that played in a lot of games.Then the character customizes their character and plays more games.David had very good ideas for Roblox and after a few years the game got more and more players and that caused David to upgrade the game and get ideas from players.

“WooHoo!” shouted a person in the party, Beavis looking good in his suit walked into the party, “What’s your name?”asked the security guard.”My name is Classified therefore I am FBI”said Beavis in a low voice.”Ummm well as confused as I am you can go in”said the security guard with the most confused face.Beavis entered the building and right when he went through the open doors the butler (AKA Geoff) asked Beavis if he wanted some wine and Beavis said no but then he asked “Where might I find the Bathroom” and as weird as the question was the butler told Beavis where to go.Beavis was in the bathroom and inside was a ventilation system and that was exactly what Beavis was looking for.He climbed through the vent and after a while of travelling through the vents he was on top of the Diamond.

 Beavis got his laser pen and he broke the vent.He fell down, “Uhh My butt!” whined Beavis.He got up after a few seconds of concussion and found that he was surrounded by lasers and he had just landed on a tripwire.”OH NO!” shouted Beavis, he started running to the diamond”Yes I got It”said Beavis.He sprinted for his life out of the highly secured vault.Suddenly he sees two security guards, “Hi FBI”said the security guard that is still confused “You think you could trick me?”.Beavis tried to run past them but then he tripped over and got caught.”Ugh where am I?”said Beavis.”You thought that you could get my diamond?!Huh”shouted the random guy, “No”replied Beavis “Why are we in your basement?”asked Beavis.”No reason” said the random guy.Beavis had to think of a plan and fast or else he will not be able to pay rent...To be continued in the next paragraph

Beavis woke up, he saw one guard in the room and coincidentally he was asleep.Beavis thought fast he shook the chair he was sitting on and shuffled over to the guard and stole the keys, Beavis uncuffed himself and went upstairs back to the house.The party was over but Beavis didn’t think that was a good thing, he thought (sometimes when you think about something long and hard you will get an idea) then he disguised himself as the sleeping guard.Beavis whispered sarcastically to himself “Light sleeper, am I right?”.Beavis walked along through the whole house and he told all of the guards that his shift was over but suddenly…”Where are you going?”said a creepy old voice, that voice came around the corner “Uhh my shift is over”explained Beavis as he tried to keep a straight face with the scary man looking at him “It is I the butler and you may be free of your duties” said the butler “Uhh What does that mean?” replied Beavis “You're Fired!” shouted the butler.Beavis walked out of the house, he ran away and when he got far enough he screamed with joy “Wait a minute” “Are you kidding me, I don’t have my diamond” “Whyyyyyyyy!” Beavis pulled off some of his skin.After a while of shedding skin the narrator (me) Realized he was a she all along and Beavis’ real name was Miss Pitt...

Term 2 Goals

Last term my goals were to Get a cultural badge from doing Kapa Haka and Choir.My other goal was to get to stage 8 maths by the end of term 3.

So far I have not achieved my goals but I have gotten into Kapa Haka and Choir.Also I am progressing through maths and I think that I could get to stage 8 by the end of term 3.

This term my smart goals are to Get a cultural badge from doing Kapa Haka and Choir.My other goal was to get to stage 8 maths by the end of term 3.

I am going to achieve these by working hard and concentrating in choir and Kapa Haka, and I can also work hard in maths to get more Smart.

Once when I was 3 or 4 My Mum got my food ready but then she couldn’t find me.After searching for me around the whole house she asked my sister where I was and they didn’t know.So then they all searched outside and they couldn’t find me so they searched the neighborhood and called the cops; then the funniest thing happened...They found me in my baby toy car.After that, my parents couldn’t trust me to stay home alone.

It was the greatest match the world had ever seen! The boy’s colossal legs waded through the water, sending shockwaves through the city engulfed in shadow.
